YouTube is a company owned by Google which happens to be very interesting. It is a site that has 1 million videos or more. It's the site where you can leave feedback on videos, subscribe to channels and most recently watch really cool videos. Youtube is awesome, so go on it and use it and see how the spark works!

What The. . . ?
Have you ever seen an elephant on a power line? On a cold christmas morning, Jim and Sally could not wait to open up their present! After eating a yummy breakfast , Jim had already sprinted to the Christmas Tree with his bowl still sitting on the breakfast table. Jim opened up his present and he got a scooter, candy, new clothes and a pair of expensive sneakers and a rubber elephant! Sally had a bike, chocolates, accessories and a pair of fresh boots also a little elephant. “ We should go outside!” Jim suggested. “Yes” Sally replied.
Jim & Sally ran straight out the door but they noticed something really shocking! They were really sad about what they had to see. On the power line they could see new shoes hanging and they could especially see one of their favorite things ... which was a little elephant. The shoes were getting quite wet and the elephant was turning into an ugly toy! This was bad news.
“ Throw it, you can do it!” Shouted a boy. They turned around and could see who caused the problem. It was a group of mean people. They had a bucket of tiny elephants, and some new shoes. “HEY!” shouted Sally. “WHAT?” said the girl. “ Why are you treating them like that?? they deserve better” Replied Jim. “ so?” called the bully. “Maybe..... we should take all of this down.” Suggested sally. “We should!” replied the group.
In the afternoon the group of bullies also Jim and Sally, had help from the fireman putting the shoes and tiny elephants. While taking all the things down they started to become really good friends. “Why don’t we put these on our christmas trees?” asked Jim. “Great Idea!” Replied everybody! They spent their christmas hanging the tiny elephants.

Winter!
Over the past days from this week, I have noticed that the weather has been getting cold! So everybody MUST wear jumpers and long pants outdoors so that the flu will 'not' knock you. Make sure you are wearing 'Warm' clothes when you are going out. I would like to advice that when you are sleeping you might need to put on 2 blankets and 2 pillows to keep you comfortable! Make sure that you and your friends , especially 'family' know that it is important to wear warm clothes in the winter time.
When it is raining , you might need to wear a raincoat also you need an umbrella to keep yourself safe. Be careful with the slippery roads and paths. Remember to wear comfortable shoes. Make sure your friends & whanau get ready for this months cold weather!

Getting Ready For Fiafia
I am looking forward to performing in our Fiafia ‘next week!’. As you might know , I am in the Hawaiian group and we are so lucky to have three tutors that give us lots of support! We are dancing to He Mele No Lilo from the animated series of Lilo and stitch! Overall I feel really confident & focused being in the hawaiian group!
My favorite part of the dance is when you clap from the top and move your hands down like an angel! It is an very awesome move. So far, the Hawaiian tutors have helped us learn ‘a lot’ of nice hawaiian moves! Now we are on the level, of quality and we’re getting better and better at it!
Our younger girls, sometimes get stuck , but most of all they are really ‘focused’ in what they are doing. Our tutors help us teach the little ones which is very awesome. You might be thinking . . “are you actually Hawaiian?” ‘No’ I am Tongan/Samoan!
I really hope that you would come to our Fiafia next thursday and support us. We have been so busy , and we have managed to finish our dance. It has been a great job cleaning up our item.
I would like to thank the Hawaiian group for being outstanding and practicing very well. As well as our tutors, you have been ver supportive and I thank you for giving us a lot of amazing advice! Mahalo, and thank you!

Saving poormans creek
So far comic life is going really good! My activity was to make a project about saving poormans creek. When Mitchell biked past the bridge of poormans creek and he noticed that there was a lot of rubbish, he wanted to do something about it. His school volunteers to help clean up, Mitchell also set a guide line! In one hour they cleaned up about 100 meteres of stream. I hope that this cause is not happening to Omaru creek.
Omaru Creek Testing
I have been investigating what the smell, colour and turbidity of the creek has! I learnt so many things.

Easter
I have created this piece of art using a creative site called 'Wordle' We simply had to write in all the key words that are all about Easter! I wrote lots! After that , I had to change the font, colour and layout to make it look very pretty. I used some words from my past Easter posts. I hope you get the chance to make some creative words too.
What A HUGE Day!
On Friday my cousins & aunties were REALLY busy! We had to catch the Rail Buses all the way to Papakura, because there was a baby shower happening on Saturday . But there was one problem! The rail buses were closed! So my sister decided to call my dad to drive us there. I wasn’t really agreeing with that one because he’s been driving everywhere! He took us around to give out the invitations and he went to my aunt's house for something important and he took us out for lunch! I felt sorry for my dad because he drove us all the way and the way back! We made it to my nana’s house and she was busy washing the dishes!
“Hi nana” I greeted. “Hello” she replied with a grin. After that we went to my aunt's room and we put down all the presents for the baby! We scattered all the spare invitations onto the bed! After that we actually made a video for fun, I was filming and my hand were really sour because it took ‘so long’. My dad was about to leave after the video recording. I went down to say goodbye to my dad.
It was getting really dark and I felt a little homesick. But I felt calm the most. For dinner we had sausages , vegetables and mash potatoes! It was yummy. After that we watched a movie called tangled. When the movie finished , we got to eat Churros covered with yummy melted chocolate freshly baked from the night market. My uncle was a dj , and every time I came he’d always tell me to listen to his remixes. It was natural. He got tired so he turned off the movie player also he left his phone behind! Soonly, I fell into deep, deep sleep.

Omaru Creek Testing!
Over the past days , my literacy class has been investigating the streams, Pond and colvert and we hae found out so many things!

Testing Omaru Creek for -
I am going to find out: The turbidity of the water also what are differences between the colour.
I am going to test this by: By dipping a plain white sheet into the water to try and see the differences between the colour. I am also going to test the turbidity by putting the water into the jar and try and focusing on the water.
Resources and equipment: four Jars & a Bucket & a 4 White clean sheets.
Smell:
I predict that: That the sea water would be the most “turbid” because you can hardly see the salt!
I think this because:

Observation

Sea water

Smelly, Salty & most of all .... Dead fish.

Gas, Oxygen weed and garbage.

Oxygen weed , catfishes & tadpoles.

My conclusion (what I found out): Investigating the smell I found out that “ducks eat the oxygen weed all though it still smells like it!
Colour:

Equal Addition
apart from 'Conpensation' I have been learning about Equal-Addition previously and so far. . . I love it! I know you hear the word Equal "addition" but 'recently' people have been saying that this strategy is only used for "subtraction" I hope you have learnt something new from this video! Also leave a comment on this post:)
Edgewater Culture Festival 2013
Korean, Samoan, Tongan what else? The Edgewater college had a very amazing festival! They performed on a stage held 'outside' the school which was very cool. I went with my mum and dad also my auntie. We watched the 'Polyfest' Niuean group perform and my sister was performing, which was very cool! My brother performed for the Tongan boys and the Samoan item, he did it very well.
The food was very scrumptious we had, chinese food and indian food also tongan otai. While walking past the tents I went past my friend, 'Sela' and she was selling the Otai. It was really yummy! My favorite item was the cook-island item , they had a lot of confidence! It was only girls. At the end , each girl had to grab a partner from the big crowd and do the hula with them, it looked challenging. If you have a brother/sister in edgewater it'll be best if you go there!
