Astria Countdown To Impact

This morning, our extension class was given the experiment to try out a new game called Astria Countdown To Impact! A group of people from the wolf and co, who were based in the university of Auckland gave us tests to complete before we try out the game. Did you know that the extension class 2014 is the first in New Zealand to try out their new game?

In order to play this game, we were told to pair up in partners for this task. I paired up with Ashlee who was basically sitting next to me the whole time!  The most difficult part of today's session was figuring out the code with Ashlee on the game, it took us a long time to find out the code. The most easy part of the game was finding clues because all the clues were lying around the lab.

Today as we played the game, my partner and I managed to unlock the code and find the clues. To be honest, my partner and I do not feel like we are on the right track because we sometimes get confused during the game.

Tommorow I will try to remember to stay focused and work with my partner more, sharing ideas and co-operating!

Tommy Kapai Wilson

Today was a special morning for Point England school, we had some special visitors. These people are men who write and illustrate the book of  Children's book Ka pai. He's told us lots of Journeys, Comedy and Morals which is awesome because we finally get to know him well.  My faviroute  part of Tommy Wilson talking was when he told us a true story about how Susan and her friends met princess Diana. " I went to find Susan and I found out she was a banker so I interviewed her and she told me all about it" Said Tommy , My mouth dropped while knowing she was still alive.

I am very interested in every word he said. He shows that anyone can have a smile.  My faviroute Motto was " If you make 10 people smile a day your sure be happy" When he  said that it felt like he made 600 and more people at Point England smile... that was the best assembly. Check that smile out.

Cross Country 2012

While standing on the reserve I felt so nervous and excited, I had butterflies in my stomach that wouldn't stop. “Girls come up” Said Mr. Burt, MY fingers started to tangle up!

“ On your marks...... Get set... GO” Said Mr  burt! As I was running my feet splashed into a Pound of  puddles , I was so eager to finish.  As soon as I got to Miss. V  I felt so exhausted that I tried not to give up! Running on the stairs was my favorite part of cross country because my feet would go up and down which doesn't get me exhausted ! I’d prefer running on stairs for cross country!

“ Almost there” Said Miss squires !  With a heavy heart I ran as Fast as I could!  I ran through the path, I tried my best to make it . While running my face felt a little bit temper and my heart felt pumped! It was so exhausting . My feet squished into the mud. As I went through the park my legs started to get tired! On my way to the finish line I felt really happy that I almost made it.

I am very proud of myself for trying to do my best! Cross country was fun because we running so hard that we lost our breath.Next year my goals are never giving up at any time. I'm so excited for next year.
