Waitangi Day #3PS

I guess you’re wondering why theres 3 paragraphs below. You might be thinking what is the main thing about it? These paragraphs  are mainly about Waitangi day. Also about the 3 p’s that were contained in the treaty!

1. Protection :

Protection is another word for safe, defence and immunity.  Protection. What does it mean? Is it food? a drink? a chemical? Protection is defending yourself , being responsible and preservation. What does it got to do with our school? Showing the way could be an example of protection. We could show the little kids what it’s like to be responsible for things.  Showing the new entrances the right way to play , use language and think. That’s protection.

Partnership:

Partnership is involving with one another. Working together , socialising with each other . Disagreeing and agreeing with one another is good partnership. Kia Pai Te Kotahi. Better together. Partnership doesn’t mean leaving a person out and left alone! Partnership is working together in a group co-operating also having trust in one group.

Participation :

In action of volunteering , joining in and having  trust. Participation is having to do something never done before . No matter how boring it is, or how   hard it is, how confusing it is , participation is all it takes. Participating in helping our teachers , other students or family is another way to explain it.  Experiencing something never done before , is sometimes how I participate.

Holiday Highlight!

1. Candles blowing, people dancing and lots of presents! What more could you ask for a 21st birthday? 24th of july marked a very special day for a special grown man, by the name of Matthew. Matthew Schuster .  Every 21st had to be wild , but in my opinion this one was even wilder! At six o’clock I got out of the car only to see a crowd full of friends and whanau all gathering up for a special birthday. As I got in I could smell sweet senses of cake . Banana cake.

After all the eating and dancing , it was time for Matthew to receive his key of honour.  Lot’s of the elderly were giving speeches about memories and what should be done in the future for him. I was strongly amazed. Mat also gave a speech about his thoughts throughout the year. He did share a tiny tear too.

Overall the party was amazing! I got to know lots new people . My favorite part was seeing different items. The most worst part was leaving  the party. What an awesome night it was.

Reading In The Holidays

Reading in the holidays is a great thing to do in some time in the holidays. It can help you provide more confidence during the next rounds of Intermediate school. Fortunately , most of the kids in our school had the chance to read books from the Tamaki Digital Library . In the past few days, I have been looking at different ranges of books and they are really interesting. Like they say ' Don't judge a book by its cover ' and that's what I did.  Having to read in the Holidays can be really sensible for those who are sick or even when the weather is a little grumpy.

2013 PrizeGiving!

Prizegiving is the day , where you get given awards and trophies for having an out standing year! It's full of cheer, items and happiness. Lucky me, I got not one but 'two' awards for 100% attendance and Ambassadors! It was a privilege going on the red carpet , confirming prizes and having to face the crowd on the stage. During the few weeks before Prizegiving we have been practicing our very own Year 6 item . We had 4 leaders who guided us through the dance :) They were, Meleane JordenneIronAna . We had a mix of 3 songs in 2 minutes! When we were performing it was really fun, going up to dance for our school .

Going Out GenGis

On my sisters birthday , my mom thought it was a great idea to go out for dinner. An idea came to her mind that we should go GenGis! Which is an Mangolian restaurant in New Zealand. Once we got there, there were a whole full of bright lights hanging down, the smell of CHICKEN and even some really huge smiles. We sat down and ordered our drinks. I sat there eagerly waiting for my mom, who was getting the cake. A few moments later , we found ourselves choosing a variety of foods. All of the meat was raw ! I got Marinated Chicken and pork on my plate and gave it to the chefs to cook . The steam made my eye really sore! The chicken and pork tasted A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I stood up for a moment and got myself dessert. I stood in line waiting for the pancakes to full cook. Once it did, I went all crazy on the sauces! Chocolate, syrup, strawberry and vannila! It was too crazy . Wishing I could go back :)

2013 Reflection

Gold, Diamonds and Pearls. Of course they are the most precious things in the world , as others  define it! Netbook, Chromebooks, Ipads and Imacs have a million words to define it. In 2013 , more things have been looked forward to! Such as camp, tests, interviews and even working on our netbooks. Febuary the 4th marked the first day of school in 2013 and I of course knew that lot’s of thing were coming our way. No homework, Games every day and hardly learning. Thats so not what I had  expected.. The most things I was expecting this year was becoming an Ambassador! No lie, it was the most proudestt feeling this year. Travelling to Wellington and speaking to the IRD , was really scary and easy at the same time. I love being an Ambassador for my school because I think that you will always get a proud feeling!

Getting to work in a class with almost 100 students was the best highlight of the year! It has been a great progress working with different teachers in a certain time every 5 days. Like Mr Burt said ‘ Better Together! ‘ . In extension , we have also been working Better Together throughout making movies, writing scripts and for covering on P.E.N.N! All though we have had some rough times , the most difficult time in extension was having to miss out on making Labour Day Pizzas! Fortunately we got to write about it. It was amazing getting to learn about the history behind it!

To be continued . .
